<p>A process for producing 2-cyclohexen-1-ol through the hydrogenolysis of cyclohexenyl hydroperoxide which comprises using a catalyst containing an intermetallic compound of palladium with lead and/or bismuth. By using the catalyst, the aimed 2-cyclohexen-1-ol can be obtained at a high selectivity by using an extremely simple reaction system as compared with the conventional one, while largely suppressing the hydrogenation of the cyclohexene coexisting therewith.</p> |
