The invention pertains to a fixable pivoting element (1, 1<1>, 1<2>) comprising two composite disks (2) provided with spur teeth. The pivoting element is used for force guidance and deflection for restoring deformed vehicle bodies on work benches. The spur toothing (3) consists of a number of outwardly diverging (from the central point to the radial perimeter) tooth flanks which engage in the matching spur toothing of an opposing composite disk (2) and when released can be adjusted radially in small angles. This arrangement permits hitherto unattainable extremely buckle- and bending- resistant rigid force deflections in vehicle bodies with angular deformations. Additional tools, deflection rollers and securing points are no longer necessary. In addition, with the proposed force deflection device, tension and compression forces from the tension beam outward and combinations of these forces can be transmitted to the vehicle body to effect straightening.
