Drive unit for endless conveyor belt

A back-up roller (8,9) is installed behind the drive drum (7) in the direction of feed of the conveyor belt. The back-up roller is adjustable in a plane parallel to the faces of the belt run. The back-up roller is cylindrical and consists of several rings which are rotatable independently of each other and located on a common pivot axis. The drive drum with the back-up roller is fitted directly next to, and in the belt feed direction behind, a direction reversal roller.
