FIELD: ophthalmologic examination. SUBSTANCE: objective of invention is to increase reliability of diagnostics and prediction of further development of myopia in persons with weakened function of accommodation eye apparatus. Objective is achieved by way of establishing eyeball configuration. To do this, using biometry technique, one measures length and horizontal diameter of eyeball and then calculates coefficient of eyeball configuration as anterior- posterior axis value divided by value of horizontal diameter of eyeball. When configuration of eyeball is oblate ellipsoid and coefficient of eyeball configuration is less than 1.0, myopia is predicted to be stationary; when eyeball configuration is spherical and coefficient is equal to 1, slowly progressing myopia is predicted; and, when eyeball configuration is elongated ellipsoid and coefficient more than 1, myopia is predicted to be quickly progressing. EFFECT: increased reliability of diagnostics. |
