FOLDABLE LADDER

A ladder is taught which is foldable into an accordion position for storage. The ladder has a pair of side rails which are formed as hinged segments (12a, 12b) to permit folding. A series of rungs extend between and are attached by hinges to the side rails. The side rails are free to rotate about the rungs between a foldable position and a position for use. The ladder is adapted to prevent inadvertent folding of the ladder during use, by limiting the rotation of the side rails with respect to the rungs.
