SUBSTANCE: mammamodulin is a new protein (molecular mass is 52-55 kDa) expressing by hormone-nondependent mamma tumor cells and influencing on morphology, mobility, growth and expression of hormone receptor by hormone-dependent mamma tumor cells. The presence of mammamodulin in tumor biopsy sample is an important diagnostic indicator. Inhibitors of mammamodulin activity (for example, monoclonal antibodies to mammamodulin and antagonists of mammamodulin) can be used for treatment and control of mamma cancer. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of mammamodulin.
