The invention pertains to novel compounds of general formula (I) in which M stands for a radioisotope of Tc or Re, L stands for a ligand of general formula (II) in which R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, R<4>, R<5> and R<6> can have different meanings and stand for groups which are suitable both for the coordinate bonding of metal ions and for coupling to selectively self-concentrating compounds. The novel compounds are used to form complexes of technetium and rhenium and are used in medical diagnostics and therapy.
