Two-hand operated power switch for electric garden equipment

The switching device, which has to be operated by both hands of the operator, uses a pair of tension elements (10,11) associated with the manual guide hoop (1) for the movement of the garden equipment etc and operated from respective upper corner edges of the guide hoop. The ends of the tension elements are secured to respective ends of a switch rocker (8) which is pivoted at its centre and controls a switch slider which only switches in the power when both tension elements are operated simultaneously.
