<p>A nucleic acid molecule that encodes, and in a suitable host, is capable of expressing a polypeptide that has the ability of a mammalian type I receptor of the TGF-β superfamily to transduce a signal leading to matrix protein production, but with substantially reduced ability to mediate a growth inhibitory signal. This can be used for identification of substances having anti-proliferative activity.</p> |
