The actuator has a lever (4) de-coupled from the clutch shaft (5) to avoid vibration transfer, but joined to it via an interposed rubber or plastics layer (6). A pin (7) and a boss (8) can be fitted to the shaft and lever to link them through the layer. The pin is enclosed by the boss via polygonal profiles, or toothed so that the lever is located axially to the shaft, preferably by the use of a spring ring (9) which engages a radial groove (10) on the pin. The layer, or bushing (11) forming it, is pre-tensioned during installation.
