Fire extinguisher operation with pressurised gas container

Fire extinguisher agent (15) is ejected from its container (6) by means of pressurised gas and is sprayed in a finely dispersed form from a spray nozzle (3) by gas pressure. A pressure pipe (9) in the form of a Venturi nozzle (12) between the pressurised container and the spray nozzle is positioned in relation to an opening (13) in the extinguishing agent-container (4), so that the pressurised gas flowing through it produces a vacuum near the opening in the container. The extinguishing-agent is conveyed to the area near the opening which is closed by a valve (14) when not in operation. A locking valve (10) is contained in the pressure pipe.
