<p>This invention relates to diagnostic products and methods for determining the presence of lipoprotein(a) or apolipoprotein(a) in a fluid sample, such as a blood sample. It provides peptides that are useful in assays for detecting and/or quantifying the presence of lipoprotein(a) or apolipoprotein(a), and for preparing antibodies for carrying out such assays. There are also provided therapeutic compositions and methods for decreasing the presence of lipoprotein(a) or apolipoprotein(a) in a mammal, or generating an immune response to lipoprotein(a) or apolipoprotein(a).</p> |
