The connector for a main firebox (1) and a flue (2) joined at their upper end by a duct (3), consists of at least one arm (10) pivoted at its two ends (10A, (10B) to the facing surfaces of two vertical partitions (1A, 2A). The arms are connected to the partitions via vertical members (11, 14), with the second partition's vertical member (14) able to slide relative to it. Only one of the partitions has a vertical member attached to it, and the arms, pivoted to brackets on the opposite partition, can be set in two different positions.
