A geophysical method for detecting a metal mass at a great depth in the ground is described, characterised in that it includes the steps of drilling a series of shallow holes, substantially at a depth of 50 to 200 meters, waiting for said holes to be in thermal equilibrium, taking at least one temperature measurement in said holes so as to establish the temperature at a selected depth, and establishing the field of temperatures at said selected depth in order to detect field anomalies characteristic of the presence of a metal mass at a great depth. |
