Process control, regulation and visualisation devices can be connected to an administration bus (11) which is served together with the field bus (22) with auxiliary energy through electrically (d.c.) isolated circuits (12). The field bus is implemented as a circuit (26) without intrinsic safety and connected in the field region (20) to a distributor (21) via terminals secured against self-slackening and self-release. The distributor has a number of connections for intrinsically safe circuits (25) each having ohmic (212) or electronic current limitation.
