<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly diffuse SO2 on the surface of liquid droplets of an absorbing soln. after the absorption of SO2 in exhaust gas within an absorbing column into to liquid droplets and to lower the drift of exhaust gas to the utmost. SOLUTION: When a perforated plate 18 is provided between the uppermost spray stage and the adjacent spray stage within an absorbing column 2, the absorbing soln. sprayed from spray nozzles 4 absorbs and removes SO2 and impinges against the upper surface of the perforated plate 18 to be violently mixed. Therefore, SO2 absorbed on the surfaces of the liquid droplets of the absorbing soln. is uniformly diffused into the absorbing soln. Thereafter, the absorbing soln. containing SO2 falls to be capable of again absorbing and removing SO2 in exhaust gas. By arranging the perforated plate 18 wherein a difference is provided in an opening rate so as to eliminate the drift of exhaust gas corresponding to the drift degree of the exhaust gas within the absorbing column 2, the drift of the exhaust gas within the absorbing column 2 can be reduced and, therefore, the gas-liquid contact of the absorbing soln. and the exhaust gas becomes uniform and desulfurizing capacity is improved.</p> |
