PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mutually bond transparent materials composed of amorphous polyethylene terephthalate while keeping a transparent feeling and sufficient bonding strength by irradiating the bonding surfaces of the transparent materials with ultraviolet rays to thermally weld them. SOLUTION: A film with predetermined thickness is cut to prepare plate materials, 2, 3 and crosspieces 4, 5, 6. Subsequently, the respective bonding surfaces 2a, 3a, 4a, 4b, 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b of them are irradiated with ultraviolet rays. At the time of this irradiation, a mercury lamp 7 emitting ultraviolet rays capable of generating ozone to the periphery is allowed to light to irradiate the respective bonding surfaces. In the case of an execution form, the mercury lamp 7 capable of simultaneously emitting ultraviolet rays with wavelengths of 253.7 and 184.9nm is used. The plate materials 2, 3 and the crosspieces 4, 5, 6 are set and the press electrode 14 of an upper mold 13 is pressed to apply high frequency voltage across electrodes 10, 14 to thermally weld the plate materials 2, 3 and the crosspieces 4, 5, 6.
|
