DECORATIVE MEMBER HAVING HIGH CLEANING PROPERTY AND CLEANING METHOD OF DECORATING MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain such a decorative member having high cleaning property that the cleanliness can be enough maintained only by cleaning with rainwater or simple shower water while the decorating property is not decreased. SOLUTION: This decorative member having high cleaning property consists of a base body subjected to a treatment to give beautiful appearance, and a surface layer containing a photosemiconductor formed on the surface of the base body. The surface of this decorating member has hydrophilicity having <10 deg. contact angle with water. The surface layer is made <0.2μm thick. If the surface of the member is enough hydrophilic, contaminant depositing on the surface can be removed by cleaning with water or by lightly wiping. The thickness of the surface layer containing photosemiconductor is specified to <0.2μm in order not to cause whitening or interference fringes which damages the beautiful appearance.
