PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter capable of ensuring freedom from a bend even at a curved part, a drop in the transferability of an external force and an increase in friction with a guide wire, and further ensuring high operability. SOLUTION: This catheter is made of a catheter tube formed out of two or more layers of a tubular member having a thermoplastic elastomer layer and other polymeric material layers. In this case, bending rigidity expressed by the product of the tensile modulus of elasticity and the geometrical moment of inertia of the thermoplastic elastomer layer is equal to or above the equivalent value of the other polymeric material layers. |
