PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a drink which is pleasantly drinkable like a soft drink or a pleasantly eatable food from Thujopsis dolabrata. SOLUTION: Branches of Thujopsis dolabrata are collected, and small branches after removing stems are cut into small pieces, steamed, cooled naturally and heated to dry under rubbing by a rough rubbing apparatus. After drying, they are rubbed further strongly. Subsequently, the small pieces are preliminarily dried under rubbing on a hot plate and are subjected to the final drying to obtain a dried product of Thujopsis dolabrata leaves. An effective component is extracted from the obtained dry product with water under heating. The extracted liquid is filtered, cooled, heated once more and cooled to obtain a soft drink containing a Thujopsis dolabrata component. On the other hand, the dry product is pulverized and granulated to obtain a health food. |
