PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyamide resin compsn. capable of giving a stretched film which has a uniformly and finely roughened surface, does not allow microvoids to occur, and is free from devitrification by compounding a polyamide resin with a specified amt. of a fibrous xonotlite. SOLUTION: This resin compsn., for a stretched matte film, is obtd. by compounding a polyamide resin (e.g. nylon 6/66 copolymer) with 0.5-5 pts.wt. fibrous xonotlite. Usually the surface of a polyamide film is roughened mainly by mixing silica into it and stretching it; however, the stretching causes microvoids to occur between the resin and silica, causing devitrification, and hence a distinct color can not be obtd. when the film is a colored one. Using a fibrous xonotlite almost solves such a problem due to the use of silica and gives a polyamide film suitable for food packaging, esp. for packaging meat, processed meat, etc. |
