PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber formed boy, flexible, hard to be yielded to compression, soft, rich in water permeability, capable of easily draining, having rapid drying speed and suitable for pad materials, cushion materials, etc. SOLUTION: This production method of a fiber formed body having 5-20cm amount of deflection is to arrange isophthalic acid copolyester R1 in a sheath and polyetylene terephthalate having temperature >=20 deg.C higher than that of the copolyester in a core, conjugably spin R1 and R2 in the ratio of R1 /R2 (weight ratio)=20/80-60/40 to obtain a sheath core conjugate fiber having 1-10 denier and 10-100mm fiber length, blend 20-60wt.% sheath-core conjugate fiber with 80-40wt.% polyethylene terephthalate fiber having 0.5-30 denier and 10-100mm fiber length, fill the blended fibers with a gas into an air permeable frame, heat treat the blended fibers in a compressed state and obtain a formed body by substantially adhering the constructive fibers, then compressively treat the formed body at < melting point of the polymer R1 one or more times in the range of 5-80% in one direction or two directions perpendicular to the compressive detection after filling. |
