PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently treat ammonia nitrogen by adjusting to a specific pH in each process at the time of collecting and removing a suspended solid material in a waste water containing high concentration ammonia nitrogen, adding an alkali to adsorb and remove organic materials and heavy metal ions and successively adding an oxidizing agent to oxidation decompose the high concentration ammonia nitrogen. SOLUTION: The high concentration ammonia nitrogen-containing waste water 1 is introduced into a sedimentation process 2 to collect and remove the suspended solid material in the waste water and next, introduced into a 1st pH adjusting process 3. The waste water 1 is adjusted to pH 3-6 in the pH adjusting process by adding the alkali agent 4 and after that, introduced into an adsorption process 5 to adsorb and remove the organic materials and heavy metal ions remaining in the waste water. Next, after the oxidizing agent 6 is added in the waste water after absorption removal treatment, the waste water is introduced into an oxidation decomposition process 7 to oxidation decompose ammonia nitrogen, successively introduced into a 2nd pH adjusting process 8 to be adjusted to pH 7-8 by adding the alkali agent 4 and discharged as a final purified waste water 11.
