PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixer for food materials having a simplified structure and improved cooling efficiency and useful for preparing salad, sushi rice, etc., by placing a box-shaped expansion section, etc., for expanding a passage volume at a half way of a blast passage. SOLUTION: This mixer is provided with a driving means 4 enabling the rotation of a rotary container around a rotary shaft which tilts against the shaft line of the rotary container and a blower means 5 capable of blowing air into the rotary container at the site where the rotary shaft axis crosses the rotary container 2. In the blowing means, a box-shaped expansion section 30 which expands the passage volume is placed at the half way of a blast passage 22 extended from a blasting source 21 to the vicinity of the rotary container. On the expansion section 30, an inlet port 34 and an outlet port 35 are formed in a state that they are close to each other and face in the same direction. At the same time, an arc-shaped guiding face 36, which guides the blast flow from the inlet port 34 to the outlet port 35 in a U-turn state, is placed in the expansion section 30. Further, the inner diameter of the blast passage 22 is preferably constructed smaller at the secondary side passage 32 than the primary side passage 31 against the expansion section 30. |
