PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a cleaning ball of being rich in elasticity into which water is hard to infiltrate by forming the pipe inner face cleaning ball of a polyurethane foam composed of a surface layer and a ball main body inside and setting the thickness of the surface layer and the number of cells respectively for the surface layer and the ball main body in specified ranges. SOLUTION: In a method of forcing a cleaning ball into a pipe and applying hydraulic pressure to the ball to flow water inside the pipe at the time of cleaning the inner faces of various kinds of pipes such as pipings for various kinds of plants, the cleaning ball of a polyurethane foam is used, and the ball is composed of a surface layer of a microcell structure or a film structure of the thickness of 1-3mm from the surface and a ball main body inside the surface layer. The number of cells of the surface layer is set in the range of 70-200pcs/ inch, while the number of cells of the ball main body is set in the range of 30-60pcs/inch. The above-mentioned cleaning ball is of superior flexibility, to be deformed easily and of low water absorbency, and the inner face of the pipe can be cleaned effectively for a long time. |
