<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the absorbing efficiency of a harmful substance in exhaust gas, in constitution spraying a slurried absorbent from a rotary atomizer and absorbing and removing the harmful substance in the exhaust gas in a process wherein the absorbent is evaporated and solidified, by charging the exhaust gas so as to enclose a main gas from the periphery without applying swirl to the main gas. SOLUTION: An exhaust gas 11 is introduced into an evaporative reaction column 12 and a slurried absorbent is finely divided by a rotary atomizer 13 to be sprayed on the exhaust gas and the harmful substance in the exhaust gas 11 is absorbed and removed in a process wherein the absorbent is evaporated and solidified. At this time, bypass gas introducing pipes 20 uniformly charging the bypass gas streams into the evaporative reaction column 12 from bypass ducts 18 through a header pipe 19 are equally connected to the evaporative reaction column 12. Bypass gas streams 17 are charged so as to uniformly enclose the main gas stream 15 charged by swirling around the rotary atomizer 13 without applying swirls around the main gas stream. By this constitution, the pressing of exhaust gas is loosened and the efficient mixing of a slurry with the main gas stream 15 can be achieved.</p> |
