<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to simultaneously purify water by using purifying materials and to activate these purifying materials by forming suction ports opened to face the purifying materials in a purifying material unit at a peripheral wall which exists at the peripheral wall in the intermediate position in the vertical direction of a water feed pipe and is enclosed by this purifying material unit. SOLUTION: Water in a closed water basin 6 is sucked into the water feed pipe 3 by passing among pieces of charcoal 21 in the purifying material unit 2 and the suction ports 33 and is discharged from a discharge port 34 when a motor 41 is operated. At this time, the water is purified by the aerobic microorganisms propagating in the charcoal 21 and is returned to the closed water basin 6. The air is intruded by rotational driving of rotary vanes 43 into the water discharged from the discharge port 34 of this time and, therefore, the quantity of the dissolved oxygen in the closed water basin 6 near the discharge port 34 is increased. This dissolved oxygen rises to the internal charcoal 21 from the outside wall on the rear surface of the housing vessel 22 of the purifying material unit 2. The aerobic microorganisms are activated by this oxygen, by which the water purification reaction is accelerated.</p> |
