<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid golf ball excellent particularly in flight and spin performances. SOLUTION: Regarding a solid golf ball formed out of a solid core and a cover laid thereon, the solid core is formed out of a polybutadiene rubber containing at least 40% of cis-1, 4 bonds and a rubber composition containing an unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or its metallic salt. In addition, the cover has thickness between 1mm and 4mm, Shore D hardness between 55 and 64, and 300 to 450 dimples of diameter between 2mm and 5mm. Also, the surface occupancy factor of the dimples is 70±8% and the total capacity thereof is between 260mm<3> and 345mm<3> .</p> |
