PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an interlining fabric for a bag to give a lightweight bag having good shape-retainability and excellent surface smoothness, appearance and printability of brand name, etc. SOLUTION: This interlining fabric is a sheet of a spun-bond filament nonwoven fabric made of interlocked synthetic fibers wherein at least the interlocked parts of the fibers are bonded with a polymer resin. The areal density of the nonwoven fabric of the sheet is 100-200g/m<2> and the stiffness of the sheet is >=5,000mg in terms of the bending repulsion measured by a Gurley stiffness tester in conformity to JIS L-1096. The interlining fabric for bag can be produced by impregnating a polymer resin into a spun-bond filament nonwoven fabric having an areal density of 100-200g/m<2> , smoothing the impregnated fabric and again impregnating a polymer resin into the fabric. |
