PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inflate an air/safety bag to a specified exhaust within a specified time by a diffuser shaping into a cap, having a peripheral wall and a top wall, providing the interior of the peripheral wall with an opening connecting with an outlet and providing the peripheral wall with a plurality of holes connecting with the opening. SOLUTION: A first and a second disk 652, 636 and a diffuser 630 are disposed on the axis 617 of an inflator housing 622, so that a whole inflater can be formed in a compact cylinder type. The diffuser 630 is shaped like a cap, provided with a peripheral wall 630a, a top wall 630b and an opening 630c connecting with an outlet 634. The peripheral wall 630a is provided with a plurality of holes 632 connecting with the opening 630c. When gas is discharged from the inflator housing 622, it is injected in all directions from the holes 632 to inflate an air/safety bag more efficiently. |
