PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a manganese peroxidaze having excellent lignin decomposability and comprising a specific amino acid sequence, and useful for pre-treatment of saccharification of wood, decoloring of melanin, decoloring of a dye, desorption of colored waste water, decomposing of a hardly decomposable substance, etc. SOLUTION: This new manganese peroxidase has an amino acid sequence of formula I or formula II and is derived from NK1148 stock producing manganese peroxidase(MnP) having excellent lignin decomposability. The new manganese peroxidase is useful for treatment of waste water of a pulp factory, pre- treatment of saccharification of wood, decoloring of melanin, decoloring of dye, decoloring of colored waster water, decomposing of a hardly decomposable substance, etc., and can industrially produce MnP by using DNA coding MnP derived from NK1148 stock. The MnP is obtained by culturing NK1148 stock in a medium containing divalent manganese, collecting fungus bodies, extracting RNA by a usual method, making cDNA library by using the resultant RNA, integrating the resultant gene into a vector and manifesting in a host. |
