PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for imparting a function-imparting agent to hollow fibers, capable of improving the durability of the imparted function by introducing the deaerated aqueous solution of the function-imparting agent from the surfaces of the fibers into the hollow parts through communicating parts in a high penetration speed and subsequently adhering the introduced agent to the hollow parts. SOLUTION: This method for imparting a function-imparting agent to hollow fibers comprises scouring and pre-setting a plain woven fabric woven produced from round hollow polyester multi-filaments having a hollow degree of 5-40%, subjecting the treated woven fabric to an alkali weight reduction treatment and a dyeing treatment to form 0.2-10μm wide and 5-20μm long communicating parts in the hollow fibers from the surfaces to the hollow parts, charging the treated plain woven fabric in a closed container, evacuating the container with a vacuum pump, deaerating a function-imparting agent aqueous solution containing polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate up to a gas content of <=0.1cc/liter, injecting the deaerated aqueous solution into the closed container to introduce the function-imparting agent into the hollow parts through the communicating parts, and subsequently shaking the treated plain woven fabric in hot water to adhere the function-imparting agent. |
