PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a polyamide monofilament excellent in transparency, flexibility and strength, having half crystallization time within the specific range by using a specific terpolyamide. SOLUTION: A terpolyamide comprising 50-96wt.% ofε-caprolactam, 2-58wt.% of equimolecular salt of hexametylenediamine and adipic acid, 2-25wt.% of aminododecanoic acid orω-laurolactum, of total 100wt.%, is produced. This terpolymer is melt-spun and drawn to give the objective polyamide monofilament of half crystallization time within 100-200sec. at 160 deg.C or within 500-800sec. at 170 deg.C.
