The picture frame fastener has a pair of corner brackets (1) with a transverse U section. The brackets can be adjusted to the upper corners of the frame or the board supporting the decorative subject. The obtuse edges (3) of the bracket rear wall (4) have a toothed part (5) for centralising the picture. This rear wall is provided in its corner part with a small sloping, inwards directed tab (6) which acts as a separator and maintains a certain pressure on the bracket assembly.
