Pipe repair complex structure

A structure for repairing pipes consists of a textile support (1) of non-oriented fibres e.g. glass fibres and longitudinal reinforcing elements, the whole being held together by stitching or knitting (4) formed in rows positioned longitudinally (4), and a superficial sealing layer (2) covers one face of the textile support. The joint between the sealing layer (2) and support (1) is made through the intermediary of a synthetic film (3) of thermostatic material joined to the support by the support stitching (4). The film is joined to the sealing layer by heat treatment. The film is polyethylene of m.pt. 160 deg C or a copolyamide of m.pt. 105-120 deg C. Also claimed is a tubular structure formed by joining two ends of the complex, by stitching to form a closed bond.
