A support mast comprised of two, hollow, tubular sections. The first section is anchored at one end, extending vertically to an upper end to which a first hinge plate is connected. A second hinge plate is connected to one end of the second mast section and equipment, e.g., lighting or other airport-related apparatus, is supported on the other end. The hinge plates are mutually connected for pivotal movement, by manually operable elements accessible to a person at ground level, of the second section between a first position, with the first and second sections coaxial and the equipment at a vertical height inaccessible to a person standing at the base of the mast, and a second position, with the second section angularly disposed to place the equipment at a level physically accessible to an individual at ground level. A flexiblewalled duct communicates, through openings in the hinge plates, with the interiors of the two mast sections for passage of flexible wires or cables to the equipment mounted upon the mast.
