The tool holder has a holding body (10) with tool fixing sector (12) and a removable cutting tip. The holding body has an axially extending sector to be held by the tool holder block, and at least one outer surface sector built out from this. The tool holder has a projection (15) extending from the outer surface sector of the axial sector of the tool body to a position adjacent to the cutting tip. This projection deflects back the swarf created by the tool during the machining process.
