Process for drying and re-moistening printed sheet and/or web material

Printed sheet and/or web materials, partic. in printing machines, are dried and re-moistened by a process, in which the moisture content is measured after drying in zones, by means of sonal moisture measuring instruments. The values obtained are fed to a computer which determines the optimum drying values and produces a control signal which is supplied to zone drying elements to control them. Measurement pref. takes place within a zone diagonal to the zone width.
