FIELD: oil treating. SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at efficiently removing mercaptans and hydrogen sulfide from crude oil and gas condensate with high content of indicated impurities. Demercaptanization is carried out by way of treating raw material with methanolethanolamine, dimethanolethanolamine, methanoldiethanolamine or with their mixture each taken in amount 0.3-2 mol per 1 mol of mercaptan sulfur at temperature 20-80 C. In this process, alkanolamines are utilized as aqueous solutions prepared by interaction of monoethanolamine or diethanolamine with formaldehyde aqueous solution observing molar ratio ethanolamine/formaldehyde 1:(1-2) at ambient temperature.
