FIELD: small arms. SUBSTANCE: small arms cartridge includes case with cap, powder charge and bullet. Basic characteristics of bullet with metal jacket and core mode of softer material with low density and cartridge are so chosen that bullet exhibits sufficient hitting action when shot point blank and at ranges 5-10 m and minimal hitting action at ranges 20 m and more. These characteristics are factor of bullet mass within limits 2.5-3.5 g/cu.cm, radius of head part of bullet within 3.0-4.5 caliber and sufficient initial velocity 350-450 m/s. EFFECT: enhanced operational efficiency of bullet. |
