FIELD: semipermeable membranes for cleaning aqueous biological fluids; applicable in purification of extracorporal blood by means of hemodialysis. SUBSTANCE: membranes are preferably in form of hollow fibers. They are made of hydrophylic polymer material, preferably, of acetate cellulose. Membranes have following characteristics: ultrafiltration Kuf is from 15 to 55 ml/h.mm Hg.sq.m (the so-called highly efficient membranes), mass-trasfer coefficient of urea (Kov(urea)), at least, 38x10cm/min and (Kov(urea))/Kuf ratio is, at least, 2.5x10cm/min. Hollow fibers of such membranes suitable for hemodialysis have inner channel diameter from 175 to 210 mcm and wall thickness from 10 to 35 mcm. In compliance with the described methods of membrane manufacture, melt containing acetate cellulose from 32 to 40 mas.%, glycerol from 5 to 10 mas.% and polyethylene glycol from 50 to 65 mas.% is extruded to produce hollow fibers. The produced fibers are cooled, subjected to cold drawing, washed with water and replasticized with glycerol solution. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 dwg |
