Fastening of footplate device to carpeted vehicle floor

The device fastens an item with a forked footplate to a baseplate with resilient covering. It is particularly for fastening a seat frame to a vehicle floor. A mushroom-shaped bolt (1) screwing into the floor passes through the centre of a plate-shaped washer (9). The plate-shaped washer has a deep bottom (11) joined by a wall (12) to an outward-protruding flange (13). A moulding (14) covering the washer has a peripheral rib (16) by which it bears against the bottom (11), and also fits round the flange. An O-ring (17) fits between the rib and the washer bottom, and can fit round the rib and in the stepped recess (18) in the rib.
