PEDOMETER

A pedometer comprising a pedometer body (1), two acceleration sensors (3, 4) which are supported on a base plate (2) in the pedometer body (1) so that the sensors can be turned horizontally and vertically respectively, and which are adapted to detect a signal of the number of steps based on a movement of the body of a user, an angle detecting sensor (5) for detecting an angle of inclination of the pedometer body (1) with respect to the ground surface, and a step counter adapted to select either one of outputs from the acceleration sensors (3, 4) in accordance with an output from the angle detecting sensor (5), and count the number of steps on the basis of the selected output.
