FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: claimed invention describes synthesis of new 1,4-bis-substituted 5-oxacyclopentadiene derivatives of general formula: AlOwherein R is;is CH=C(CN)COOR or H; n is 0-10, except R is Rand CHCHOPh, is H by condensation of corresponding ester of cyanoacetic acid and 1,4,bis-formyl-5-oxacyclopentadiene in the presence of R′. Compounds are useful as radical polymerization inhibitors of unsaturated compounds in the course of synthesis, processing and storage. Invention contains data on comparable inhibitory ability of various types of radical polymerization by referring to thermoinitiated radical polymerization of 4-hydroxybutyl acrylate and also data on the ability of 1,4-bis(2′-cyano--2′-carboxyethyl/ethylene)-5-oxacyclopentadiene of inhibiting thermoinitiated radical polymerization of styrene, methyl methacrylate, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, n-hydroxybutyl acrylate and ethyl-2-cyanoacrylate. Invention also provides comparative data on the tests of inhibition of thermoinitiated polymerization of ethyl-2-cyanoacrylate by well known inhibitors such as hydroquinone and tetrafluoropropyl and tetrafluoropropyl-α-furfurylidene-a-cyanoacetate. EFFECT: more efficient synthesis process. |
