STRAIN OF BLUETONGUE VIRUS (FEBRIS INFECTHIOSA CATARHALISS OVIUM) USED FOR VACCINE PREPARING

FIELD: veterinary virology. SUBSTANCE: strain of bluetongue virus is multiplicated in cultured transplanted kidney cells of Siberian mountain deer at titer 6.5-7.0 lg "ЦПД"/ml, green monkey kidney (CV-1) at titer 5.5-6.0 lg "ЦПД"/ml, ovine kidney at titer 5.0-6.0 lg/ml and in mice (1-2 days old) at titer 8.7-9.0 lg/ml. Based on neutralization reaction at typifying strain is classified as bluetongue virus of 16 serotype. Viral particles size is 55-70 nm by data of electron-microscopic and immune-electron-microscopic studies. Viral particles are similar with orboviruses of reoviruses family on the basis of morphology data. EFFECT: isolation of new strain indicated above. 3 tbl
