<p>A composite type information recording/reproduction apparatus equipped with one drive device (2, 52) where three kinds of rotary disk-like recording media available commercially on the market such as DVD-ROM, DVD-RAM, CD, FD, CD-ROM, MO, MD, HD, PD, Zip, HS, DVD, and CD-R are simultaneously loaded. Conventionally the user uses simultaneously a plurality of softwares such as animations and sounds, it has been necessary to use a plurality of information recording/reproduction apparatuses. According to this invention one kind of a fixed disk-like rotary recording medium (31) and two kinds of removable disk-like rotary recording media (32, 33) are simultaneously loaded in one drive device (2, 52), and information is recorded and/or reproduced. Accordingly, energy is not wasted by using a unit having the same function in common, the size of the apparatus is reduced, the cost is drastically reduced by reducing the number of components, and complicated connection between the devices is simplified. Further, three kinds of rotary disk-like media can be combined always meeting the needs of the market.</p> |
