The invention concerns 2-phenylpyridines (I) and their salts, in which, n = 0, 1; R<1> = halogen, C1-C4 alkylhalide; R<2>, R<3> = H, halogen; R<4> = CN, halogen; R<5> = -CO-O-( C1-C4 alkylene)-CO-OR<6>, -CO-O-(C1-C4 alkylene)-CO-N(R<7>)R<8>, -O-(C1-C4 alkylene)-CO-O-(C1-C4 alkylene)-CO-OR<6>, -O-(C1-C4 alkylene)-CO-O-(C1-C4 alkylene)-CO-N(R<7>)R<8>, -S-(C1-C4 alkylen)-CO-O-(C1-C4 alkylene)-CO-OR<6> or -S-(C1-C4 alkylene)-CO-O-(C1-C4 alkylene)-CO-N(R<7>)R<8>; R<6> = H, C1-C4 alkyl,(C1-C4 alkoxy)(C1-C4 alkyl), C2-C4 alkenyle, C3-C4 alkinyl; R<7> = H, C1-C4 alkyl, carboxyl(C1-C4 alkyl), (C1-C4 alcoxycarbonyl)(C1-C4 alkyl); R<8> = H or C1-C4 alkyl.
