The load bearing unit is constructed in at least two sections, and consists of two parts which join together and form-lock, and in this state form a rigid unit. The first section of the load bearing unit is formed by a frame which is plane is U-form, inscribes the basic form of the chassis and viewed in the direction of travel is open at the rear. The frame is connected to the chassis by means of the lifting levers of the lift mechanism. The second section of the load bearing unit is formed by the load itself.
