Disclosed is an apparatus to alarm when a car is drived uneconomically. The apparatus further comprises a voice generation controller(6), a selection switch(SW), an uneconomical drive alarm lamp(L1) and an economical drive lamp(L2). The voice generation controller(6) which is controlled by an input/output controller(4) generates voice via micro speaker(7). The selection switch(SW) is connected between the voice generation controller(6) and the input/output controller(4). A CPU(2) sequentially performs steps of idling decision(S1), sudden starting/accelerating decision(S2), overspeed decision(S3), voice/lamp control(S4). Thereby, the drive is performed economically and conveniently.
