Apparatus for placing ties, for example for securing vine stalks, including: means (13, 14) for driving a first portion (L1) of a wire-type tie (L); a rotary twisting device (35) arranged at the forward portion of the apparatus and having two openings (39, 40) for engaging two parts of said first portion; a cutting assembly (27) upstream of one of the openings (39, 40) of said twisting device (35); a pivoting guide (17) arranged at the forward end of the apparatus; motor means (4) and a transmission system arranged in turn to be operational and non operational, so as to alternately actuate the driving means, the pivoting guide and the cutting assembly while the twisting device is stationary; or rotatably drive the rotary twisting device while the driving means, the pivoting guide and the cutting assembly are inactivated. |
